Sign Language Studio

About the studio

The studio has a high-resolution video camera that records RGB video, and an Intel RealSense D435 camera that records depth data. A control system runs each recording session and checks the data quality.

• Full HD RGB camera (1920 × 1080)
• Intel RealSense D435 camera
• Recording control with OBS Studio
• Reference video display for the signers
• Green screen background
• Studio lights to control the lighting

Quality control standards

Each recording follows a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). The team checks the data quality before, during, and after each recording. The checks look at these factors:

• Image sharpness
• Correct sign language
• Full view of the hands, the face, and the body
• Constant lighting and background
• Complete RGB and depth files
• Correct metadata
